I've eaten here several times and every time the food was amazing! The service is fast and friendly, and at each encounter the staff really knew a lot about the menu and was able to answer my questions. As far as authentic Vietnamese cuisine goes this is one of the places in Central Texas that I have had the flavor experience that I had while in Vietnam. The imperial rolls are one of my favs for appetizers. And the rice dishes, never disappoint. This restaurant is great for lunch or dinner whether you choose to dine in or do takeout. This is a culinary treat you don't want to miss. Be sure to stop by La Dalat if your looking for authentic Vietnamese cuisine and a warm friendly environment.
Fresh, delicious food! Clean environment and nice atmosphere! The bun, spring rolls, pho, rice plates are all delicious!
Food was fresh, hot, and delicious! We had the Bun pork and Imperial spring rolls. We will be back!
Rhey beat out a lot of Vietnamese restaurants in the Greater Austin area! **Cha Gio (Imperial Egg Rolls)** These are the authentic Vietnamese egg rolls, wrapped in extra crispy rice paper and served with lettuce, a bit of vermicelli, pickles, herbs, and nuoc mam (fish sauce). The filling is a delicious mix of pork, woodear mushrooms, and glass noodles. You won't find this in Austin! **Fishcake Noodle Soup - Bún Chả Cá** Another dish you won't find in Austin. If you love fish cake like I do, this underrated Vietnamese noodle soup is a must-try. The chicken broth base, simmered with tomato, creates a bowl full of umami. **Bun Thit Nuong** The marinated, thinly sliced meat was absolutely delicious, and the vermicelli and vegetables were incredibly fresh. We spotted the mother (or grandmother) happily cooking in the background while the daughter managed the front. Just a heads-up: there's a sign at the entrance noting that they're understaffed. This is a very small, family-run operation, so be patient.
I love getting take out here. The food is really good, well priced, and seasoned to perfection. The portion sizes are really good. I usually order online and pickup. The process is really smooth. My order is always on time. The wings in the appetizer section of the menu is really good! If you want Vietnamese that is tasty and for a good value, this is your place!
